It might be because of my own close brush with the X-Men films (back in the very beginning when the project was at Orion, after they had given up on the Conway/Thomas script -- too expensive -- and wanted something more modest) but this look at the first three X-Men films is rather thin gruel, although it does try to present the third film as something more than most perceive it as.

This is a very straightforward book, which looks at the original X-Men film trilogy and how those movies relate to their comic inspirations. The problem is that the book is so very dry....there's no real personality in the writing, and it becomes simply a recitation of facts and issue numbers. If you know the comics, there's not going to be very much that's new here.

Enjoyed reading the book and learning some of the inside scoop of the making of the X-Men movies.
