Lady and the Tramp is a condensed version of the beloved Disney movie. This book, in contrast with most of the other books in the Disney series, actually has a plot that children can follow and has several different characters that have distinct characteristics. This would be a great book to begin working with children on describing different characters. For example, you could read this story aloud to your students and then have them use adjectives to describe Aunt Sara, Lady, Jim Dear, and Tram Lady and the Tramp is a condensed version of the beloved Disney movie. This book should be used when first introducing students to character traits because it very clearly states a few characteristics of each character and therefore would not provide a challenge for students who already have practice in describing characters. I would use this book in a first grade classroom as a teaching aid as well as just have it in my classroom library so that students could read it during free reading time.

I loved the movie as a kid. It's not until you read the story later that you realise it works on deeper levels, which is really what makes those classic Disney stories great. For kids it definitely has some scary bits (rats, awful dog catchers) that I had to paraphrase for my nephews when I was reading to them. But it’s still a great story years later. I was unable to find the actual book I read. It was oversized and it was Lady and the Tramp - Relive the Magic of the Disney Movie. I like the book because I like romantic stories and I think it’s cute. I liked the topic of it. I really love the story because it’s sweet and short. It’s a great book and I recommend it to little boys and girls

(4☆ Would recommend) The movie is great, but being able to sit down with a kid & show them the movie in book form is such a great opportunity for learning.

This is a really sweet Disney book. It is about a cocker spaniel dog named Lady and a stray mutt named Tramp who meet and fall in love.

I did not read this particular book to the kids...the one I read was a chapter book.

A classic story that doesn't lose power even after all this time. A great story to share with your loved ones. A classic story that doesn't lose power even after all this time. A great story to share with your loved ones.

A dog from the good side of town, meets a dog from the 'bad' side. She teaches him that there is more to a human family than what he remembers. A dog from the good side of town, meets a dog from the 'bad' side. She teaches him that there is more to a human family than what he remembers.
