My favorite series of all time!!!! That being said, the books written by Frank Herbert are MUCH better than anything his son (no offense) wrote. My advice would be to start with Dune and work your way through to Chapterhouse Dune. -My very favorite book in the series is God Emperor of Dune. I love Leto's character. - These books will make you think! Religion, Science, Government, Emotion, Philosophy etc. It's all there! My favorite series of all time!!!! I am doing a complete read-through of the Dune universe! I am now up to Dune, re-reading it probably for about the 10 time since I first read it almost three decades ago! Having so much of the back story from the previous books is really making this re-read an interesting experience, since I understand so much more of what made Dune/Arrakis what it is, and the whole socio-political environment that it is situated in. I'll comment as I go along on this ongoing epic read... I am doing a complete read-through of the Dune universe!
