I read the comic books WildC.A.T.S. #0, #1 -14, WildC.A.T.S. Trilogy #1-3. and WildC.A.T.S. Special #1. Lee's big team book, that energised and hyped superhero comics at the time (early 1990s); it had a bit of a jumbled start, and was extremely action focused, and with interesting take on some key Marvel and DC concepts alongside the overarching battling alien races theme. 7 out of 12. I suppose you could say that Wild CATS is everything right with superhero comics (and perhaps everything that is wrong). For me there is nothing better by Jim Lee (including his Batman work and earlier work on X-men). Wild CATS has wonderful illustrations, plenty of action, a very interesting plot and original universe. Mainly, though, what makes the book is the illustration. I will always pine for that bygone era of Image comics where the action, women, tie-ins, and glossy covers were in excess I suppose you could say that Wild CATS is everything right with superhero comics (and perhaps everything that is wrong). I read the original mini-series back in high school and loved it. Compared to Marvel and DC at the time, Image Comics (like Valiant Comics) put out a lot of comic book titles that seemed 10 times more bombastic, in terms of storytelling, artwork, graphics as well as violence and hard language. WildC.A.T.S seemed different to many of the Marvel and DC titles that I had been reading (just like many of the Image titles in those days). And of course Jim Lee himself once worked for Marvel being the man behind the legendary X Men #1 back in 1991, and in itself considered to be the best selling comic issue of all times.

Issues 00 - 13. Plus a 1 issue reboot by Grant Morrison and Jim Lee. Crap. Utter crap. Very disappointed. Writing. Art. All of it. GARBAGE.
