I'm not really sure about this book. The writing is quite casual with parts that make you think that he really knows what he's talking about. And I'd like to think that he does given that he is a guy and a paediatric nurse. But I don't think that qualifies him to give dating advice. I like the cartoons and the answering of emails, it added a nice touch. But some of the stuff he says is good but he contradicts himself and gives some dodgy advice and says some pretty outright dodgy stuff. The proble I'm not really sure about this book. The problem is, you have to be experienced to distinguish which parts you should listen to so that defeats the whole purpose of the book. Also, it is very clear that he has the view that a boy's exploration shouldn't start before a certain age, even though he says that everyone is different. But he just discourages people right after telling them to get some experience cos it's the only way you grow and learn. The one I hated the most was telling a kid that he was not in love, he had a crush, and no high school girl was going to go out with a grade 6, right after the part about dating and breaking up that said you are going to break up with someone at some point so might as get out there and get some experience.
