***I won this book in a GoodReads First Reads contest*** This is a great book for those who like logic puzzles. I teach an AVID-type class with continuation high schoolers, and find these kinds of problems really interesting to use for tutorial practice. These puzzles in this book have been updated to reflect contemporary society's interests, so it is relevant to today's teens. I am hoping to make good use of this in my classes, and will share it with my collegues in the math department. ***I won this book in a GoodReads First Reads contest*** This is a great book for those who like logic puzzles. I found this book to be well put-together. I have used or perused many similar books and this one is definitely above-average in terms of content and publishing quality. I wouldn't recommend it to go through in the same week because of repetition issues, but for a teacher to use occasionally over the course of a month or more it can be a stellar addition to classroom tools. I teach science and math to middle level students. This book would be very helpful in making math lessons relevant to the students'. Learning can only happen if students believe that what you teach them has relevance to their world I teach science and math to middle level students. I won this book from goodreads and looked through it and worked some of the problems out and believe that it is a great book for those who love math in the 6 to 8th grade and for those who dont it could help them become better at math. A great book.
