Doug Moench is a great Batman writer and the art by JH Williams III I really liked. The plot is as convoluted as one would expect from a story titled Conspiracy, and there are a lot of little twists: some very predictable unfortunately, but others not so much. In the end I'd say there is much more to like about this than to dislike. If you want a good 'Batman as a detective' story you can't go wrong with this. Lesser known work by now renowned JH Williams III. Still even if it doesn't achieve the heights of Promethea, Black Glove or Batwoman it's still high quality art illustrating quite a fast-pace and enjoyable conspiracy story by the industry veteran Doug Moench. The story is nothing to write home about really but the intrigue isn't too far-fetched and it's interesting enough for a quick read. Lesser known work by now renowned JH Williams III. An average batman story with a conspiracy theme. I admit I was lost while reading but the explanation in the end sort of makes sense. I also like the thank you note which the reporter had sent before knowing she was going to get killed.

Batman in L.A.! Batman should never leave Gotham. I mean that’s just asking for trouble back home.
