    As it promises, this book provides a psychological and sociological perspective to understanding the life course. Be warned though, it is incredibly dry. It is like reading a lengthened HSS-style reading with all the million and one theories. I guess it kind of delivered as expected so I can't complain but injecting some form of relatable summary would have been very useful. Content-wise, there was nothing that deviated from what is common-sensically known.
