I’ve had a copy of this book since 1993 and it is one I constantly turn to for specific recipes or just inspiration. when friends go veg, this is one I always suggest or loan!
Rebecca –
this is the first vegetarian cook book i ever owned-- my mom got it for me when i was about 14. i still give it as a gift to new vegetarians and i still make the veggie rice burgers and the spinach artichoke dip.

I love this cookbook! It was my first vegetarian cookbook. Thirty plus years later I am still using it! It has tasty and easy to cook recipes. I just saw she has a new cookbook! I can’t wait to get it and try new recipes!

this is another nostalgia book...I had it when I was first going veg and I recently got it from Amazon marketplace because I remembered it fondly. I don't think I've made anything out of it yet except some blueberry muffins (with all whole wheat flour and honey) which turned out very yum. There isn't anything terrible nouveaux in here, but the recipes are solid and mostly breakfast-y (with a bit of brunch and lunch thrown in) this is another nostalgia book...I had it when I was first going veg and I recently got it from Amazon marketplace because I remembered it fondly. I use this cookbook as a reference almost as much as I use the Fanny Farmer cookbook. Tons of great recipes, not overly complicated, and also good basic recipes. Everyone should have a copy on their cookbook shelf.
