If you're new to drawing and admire the artists of the east, this is a good place to start. What I find with many "how to draw manga" books is that they're either too general or too specific. The author walks you through the basics of figure drawing to the point where you can get a basic grasp on the drawing technique. This is a good beginner's manual. Unfortunately, the book is no longer in print, and the only place you'll legally obtain copies is from online sellers, and any copy you'll find w If you're new to drawing and admire the artists of the east, this is a good place to start.
