Very quick read. Written only 20 years after the actual battle, so it must be read in the voice of 135 years ago. Several almost biblical tributes to the union commander, lots of facts and figures about the war, and the observations of those who fought the battle. Overall good for a military historian however the general reader would be very bored with the facts and figures and what commander was where
